Here are 10 random things about the designer:
 
1. I scrapbook. That's it.
2. I cannot stand dust, smoke and sudden changes in weather. I'll be sneezing all day.
3. I can eat all kinds of crustaceans. But if you feed me shrimps, I'll die.
4. I am "masa". Meaning, masandal lang, tulog.
5. I face paint and I do event emceeing. I coordinate parties, too. AND I'd like to record a song one day. Yeah, right.
6. My mum still treat me like I'm 12 years old sometimes. I am not complaining :)
7. My husband thinks I'm a "diyosa". Diyosa sa kaharian ng paghilik.
8. I love coffee. My day ain't right if I didn't get my caffeine fix first thing in the morning.
9. I still have my Sanrio mini cabinet featuring Hello, Kitty circa 1977 with me. I'm waiting for a Philippine exhibit, and I'll volunteer the rest of my collection for viewing.
10. Ooh, I also collect PIGurines. I have almost 600 pieces of them.

About the Designer:

My name is Nenita Ang. I am a Fine Arts graduate majored in Interior Design, which I guess is why I am very particular when it comes to color matching. Anybody who is well acquainted with me also knows me as Copycat Scrapper, because this is how I named my blog.

I am an incurable pack-rat who loves to organize my scrap materials in plastic compartments. Perhaps there is truth after all to my best friend’s theory that the reason I love to scrapbook in the first place is because I get to organize the materials in neat pile of boxes.

I am currently working as an Administrative Manager for a warehouse racking company. Is the mother to a sole child whom as you can see is my favorite subject in the majority of my layouts, and a wife to a very artistic and supportive husband, Alain.

Guest Designer-- Diane Miraballes

Another featured guest designer is Ms Diane Miraballes, 24 years of age and married for 4 years. They are blessed with an angel up in heaven named Huey Dhale; he died last year at age 2 and 11 months. She has a degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and is now working as a Web Writer and SAHW. Her most unforgettable moment was when she gave birth to Huey and married her Mr. Right which is her husband. Diane has a passion for scrapbooking (both digital and paper) & Photography. She started scrapping when she was in high school but was introduced to the "real" scrapbooking in 2005. Workspace, "A small space in our small bedroom and that small bedroom will be soon my scrap room said the husband. We will have the master bedroom on the second floor when it is constructed already. We are still saving up for that." Scrapping style, "I really don't have that style of my own. I am still discovering that after so many years of scrapping. But I am more of a patterned paper scrapper. I can't scrap without patterned papers.  I am also not a clean scrapper because I want my page full of doodles and embellishments." One thing she wants to do before she dies as she said: "I want to travel.--Anywhere, as long as it is outside of the Philippines. I want to take lots of pictures in different places."

Guest Designer-- Issa Lucido

Our guest designer for the month is Ms Issa Lucido, 39, married to Dodo for 15 years. Blessed with 2 kids Luis Lauro Antonio ,14 and Lucian Lorenzo Roberto, 4. She has a degree in AB Economics. Now a stay at home mommy, has passion or loves pasta and chinese food, love songs, bosa and R&B music. Her favorite memory as she said "I love Baguio! Everytime I bring my children there and spend time bonding with them is so special to me."

Before I die I: I want to go back to US and shop for scrapbooking things. I want to see my children graduation in college and fulfill their dreams.
Started scrapping:  The real "Scrapbooking" ha 2003 and started to be an addict in 2005!
Workspace: My old dining table and my kid's old cabinet, I have them all in my living room . I occupy almost half of my living room at home. 
My style: I really don't know! But I love multi photo layouts and masculine effects, since I have 2 boys to scrap.   

BUBBLE UP By: Issa Lucido


Materials Used:
BG Two Scoops pps (blueberry custard, sprinkles, pistachio almond)
BG Two Scoops fibers
Cardstocks
DMC thread
Brads
Photo turns
Papers clips
AL clear stamps (big swirls)
Versacraft blue ink
Colorbox chalk fluid ink
 

Procedures:
1. Adhere the 4 small photos in a pps and then cut a circle on it.
2. Cut different sizes of circles on 2 more pps. For the main photo, cut it also in circle and mat it.
3. Adhere the biggest circle on the right area of the layout. Trace a circle pattern with a pencil on the upper left portion, following the pencil marks sew it using a backstitch with DMC thread.
4. Then, adhere the photos on top of the circles, creating layers of circles like a bubble effect.
5. Embellish your page with the photo turns, brads, paper clips and knotting the fibers on the clips. Stamp on the sides of the circles creating a slash effect.
6. Diecut your titles and adhere them on the center of the layout. The journals can be computer printed or handwritten, then cut them into strips and adhere on the side of the 4- photo circle.

BEACH By: Issa Lucido

Materials Used:
BG Two Scoops pps (wafer cone and pistachio almond)
BG Two Scoops fibers
BG Two Scoops letter stickers
DCWV 8x8 cardstock
Cardstocks
Buttons
Eyelets
Label sticker
Star brads
 
Procedures:
1. Mat photos with cardstocks.
2. On the 8x8 card stock, adhere a 4x6 pps on the upper right corner of the cardstock. Then position your 2 photos on the lower part of the 8x8 cardstock.
3. Cut 1" strips of cardstock and make your titles using the BG cardstock stickers. Then adhere them on top of the pps on the upper part of the 8x8 cardstock.
4. Adhere the 8x8 carstock in a slanting position on the center part of the base paper. Cut 2 triangles and place them on opposite corners of the slanted carstock. Punch 2 holes on the sides of the triangles and put eyelets.
5. Embellish your page with buttons, clip fibers on the brads and tie the fibers of the eyelets. Put a little laber sticker on the bottom part for other details of the layout and put buttons on both sides to secure them.
 

SUMMER GETAWAY By: Issa Lucido

Materials Used:
BG Two Scoops pps (Sprinkles, Swirls and Butter peacan)
BG Two Scoops fibers
Little Davis summer rubons
Cardstocks
Chipboard letters
Ranger glossy accents
Colorbox Chalk ink Fluid
Foam tapes
 
Procedures:
1. Mat your photo
2. Cut a circle on a cardstock. Using two pps and a cardstocks, cut triangles and distress them using an chalk ink fluid. Adhere the triangles in the back part of the big circle creating them as the rises of the sun. Use foam tapes to on the triangles to get a 3d effect on the rises. Once the sun is done, adhere it on the center of the base pps.
3.  Work on your titles, embellish your chipboard with pps, paints or just plain cardstocks.
Then coat it with Ranger glossy accents for the shine effect. Adhere them in a circular pattern opposite the matted photo.
4. To finish the page, place the getaway word rubon on the center of the sun. The insert the fibers in between the rises of the sun. Put a little photo corner on the picture and journal on strips.

Altered Project: Wooden Chopping Board


Materials Used:
Wooden chopping board
BG Two Scoops pps (Mint Chocolate Chips, Cupid's Arrow, Sprinkles, A la Mode, Pistachio Almond)
BG Two Scoops fibers
BG Two Scoops cardstock letter stickers
Chipboards
Ribbons
Heidi Swapp flowers
Prima flowers
Metal flower brads
Glittered glue
Ranger glossy accents
Foam tapes
 
Procedures:
1. Cover one side of the chopping board with pps. Hand cut the big designs on pps using them to decorate the project. Cut a 3x12 strip of pps and cut scallops and punch holes. Adhere the strip on the left side of the chopping board. Cut another strip and adhere it on the bottom part of board.
2. Decorate the board with the cut outs pps and some flowers.Use foam tapes to add a 3D effect. Diecut the tiles and adhere them on the center. Use cardstock letter stickers for sub-titles.
3. Embellish them some more with fibers, I insert fibers under the pps, there are still spaces when you use foam tapes, so just glue them under them. Glitter glue the flowers and other patterns to add shimmers. Coat your titles with glossy accents.
4. Lastly, tie fibers and ribbons of top of the board.

Passions:     Desserts, especially those made from chocolate

Before I die I:    want to backpack across Europe (I hope I'm not too old by then)
Started scrapping:     in college but seriously got hooked in May 2006.
Workspace:     A small room that I used to share with my DH until all the scrapbooking stuff I accumulated became too much for him to handle. I didn't really kick him out. He evicted himself. :-)
My style:     I do not know that I already have layouts that call out "LEE" to the person viewing it. That's because I'm still experimenting with different materials, appearances and techniques. Even after two years, there's still a lot I need to learn about scrapbooking. If there's anything distinctive about my layouts, it would be my journaling, because each one us has unique stories to convey.
