Valentine's Day Challenge

We're inviting everyone to join our Valentine's Day Challenge on February 7,09. Challenge will start at 11am and winners will be announced at 4pm. The only requirement/s is to use the kits you can add little embellishments but most of the layout or mini album needs to be from one of our kits. Layouts should be 12x12 and the mini album is 8x8. Each participants will be receiving a goodie bag. As for the prizes..

Ems Fronda- Scrpbukan's 1st GDT of the Year!!

 Hi!  I’m Ems!  I'm married to a wonderful man, Oliver,for 9 years and a working mom to 2 precious little girls named Gabrielle Dominique “Gaby” (8 years old) and Alexa Emmanuelle “Alexa” (1 year old), who sneaks at night (and during weekends too)  to scrap. Got hooked into “real” scrapbooking in 2003 with the push and shove of a dear friend (although I already arrange my photos in special way using magazine cut-outs, stickers and all other harmful materials from my High School days). I believe that my style is clean and sleek and often times, romantic with lots of  flowers, and with ribbons and laces.

For the longest time, my subject was always my first born but now, I have another baby (after years of waiting), so my backlog keeps on piling up ;o) Nevertheless, I feel so much blessed that  I have this hobby to capture and record our love and affection for them and to show how evident their (sibling) love for each other too.

About me:

My name is Gaye Niango, wife to Arnel and mom to Abigail. I was introduced to scrapbooking in 2006 and was instantly hooked although it took a couple of months (read: hoarding!) before I finally finished my first layout. I love scrapbooking because I am able to combine my other hobby - photography.  Not only am I able to preserve life's memories in a creative way, scrapbooking serves as a relaxing therapy especially after a long and stressful week.

Here are 10 random things about the designer:
 
1. I scrapbook. That's it.
2. I cannot stand dust, smoke and sudden changes in weather. I'll be sneezing all day.
3. I can eat all kinds of crustaceans. But if you feed me shrimps, I'll die.
4. I am "masa". Meaning, masandal lang, tulog.
5. I face paint and I do event emceeing. I coordinate parties, too. AND I'd like to record a song one day. Yeah, right.
6. My mum still treat me like I'm 12 years old sometimes. I am not complaining :)
7. My husband thinks I'm a "diyosa". Diyosa sa kaharian ng paghilik.
8. I love coffee. My day ain't right if I didn't get my caffeine fix first thing in the morning.
9. I still have my Sanrio mini cabinet featuring Hello, Kitty circa 1977 with me. I'm waiting for a Philippine exhibit, and I'll volunteer the rest of my collection for viewing.
10. Ooh, I also collect PIGurines. I have almost 600 pieces of them.
